We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our small team at Whitley Bay Golf Club. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential for supporting the financial health of our organisation and requires proficiency in various accounting software.

Duties



Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Process accounts payable, including invoice verification and payment processing. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. Prepare monthly financial reports and assist in budget preparation. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial information is accurate and up-to-date. Assist with year-end closing processes and audits as required

Skills



Qualification in AAT essential Proficiency in accounting software Sage is essential. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external stakeholders.


Job Type: Part-time


Pay: 18.00-22.00 per hour


Expected hours: 8 per week
