We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. The ideal applicant will have experience with various accounting software programmes and possess strong organisational skills.
The role of the bookkeeper will be to maintain the financial records for the business, accurately tracking money in and out through daily tasks like processing invoices, managing cash flow, and preparing for taxes.
Key responsibilities
Processing sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner.
Ensuring that bank statements match financial records, reconciling accounts, and keeping books balanced.
Reviewing cash flow (creditors and debtors) and bank balances on a weekly basis.
Payment processing of HMRC bills, employee payments and expenses.
Matching purchase orders with invoices, allocating and sending the same to Dext.
Paying vendor invoices.
Preparing payroll and managing expense claims.
Completing and submitting VAT returns and assisting with annual accounts.
Providing periodic financial reports and helping business owners make financial decisions.
Producing accurate monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Liaising with the company's accountant, particularly with regard to year-end accounts.

Skills and qualifications
Recognised accounting qualification - AAT, ACCA
Attention to detail and accuracy
At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience
