The successful candidate will be confident using
Xero accounting software
and capable of working independently, managing their own workload while collaborating with the managing director and accountant.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking payment sources
Reconcile bank balances against expenditure and process transfers
Create and issue invoices and quotations
Identify and report any financial discrepancies
Code bank statement transactions in Xero
Input and maintain data within Xero
Produce Xero reports for the Managing Director
Prepare financial records for the year-end accountant
Compile requested documentation for audits
Prepare and manage outgoing financial records
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar role (preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
Excellent administrative and data entry skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative
Strong communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
A positive team player with a professional approach to work
Job Type: Part-time
