Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a solid background in finance and bookkeeping.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our accounting department across all parts of the business helping to maintain smooth day-to-day operations and accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaising with global customers and consultants in a professional and courteous manner

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.

Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts.

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as required.

Assist with payroll processing and ensure statutory compliance

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Generate financial reports and summaries for management.

Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and suppliers when necessary.

Maintain filing systems and ensure all financial documentation is complete and accurate.

Managing and prioritising multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or MYOB).

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong Excel and general IT skills.

AAT qualification or equivalent

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
