Medshare Ltd is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented In-House Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records for the property development company and its associated lettings business. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounts, supporting cash flow management, ensuring compliance, and providing financial insight to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounts
Maintain accurate financial records for Medshare Ltd and Medshare Lettings Ltd
Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards regularly
Maintain general ledgers and nominal accounts
Prepare monthly management accounts
Lettings & Property Accounting
Manage rental income, landlord payments, and tenant accounts
Track service charges, maintenance costs, and property-related expenses
Reconcile rent schedules and ensure timely payments
Liaise with property managers regarding financial queries
Payroll & VAT
Process payroll including PAYE and pension contributions
Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare financial reports for management review
Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants
Maintain financial records in line with statutory and company requirements
Support audits and financial reviews as required
General Duties
Monitor cash flow and flag potential issues
Improve and maintain efficient financial processes
Handle confidential financial information with discretion
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles
Experience using accounting software - Xero
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
Good communication skills
Desirable
Experience in property or lettings accounting
Payroll and VAT experience
Knowledge of UK accounting and HMRC regulations
