We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.
Duties
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software Sage50
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Proficiency in accounting software such Sage50
Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger processes
Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles and accounting standards is preferred
Hours - 16 - 24 hours per week (days negotiable)
Salary - 13 - 15 per hour dependant on experience.
