We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. Experience as a bookkeeper is essential.
Duties
Manage and record all financial transactions using accounting software such as Xero, and a bespoke accounting system.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
Assist with payroll processing and related documentation.
Maintain organised financial records in compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
Support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Monitor budgets and assist in financial planning activities as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within a professional environment.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred but not mandatory. This position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to utilise their accounting expertise within a supportive team environment.
