Band B point 20 to point 21 (25,226 to 26,147) FTE
Actual gross salary for a full academic year (7,601 to 7,878)

Main Purpose of Job:
The purpose is to organise and provide a resource facility for pupils and departments across the School by purchasing appropriate supplies for resale to pupils or charging to departments.
Key Responsibilities include:
Day to day operation of the School Bookstore facility
Serving staff and pupils in the Bookstore;
Maintaining accurate records of charges for pupils and departments;
Maintaining up to date information on suppliers and prices to maximise potential savings;
Having a comprehensive knowledge of products held in the Bookstore;
Anticipating requirements according to the different terms;
Maintaining an appropriate level of stock to meet demand;
Checking deliveries and approving related invoices for payment;
Arranging weekly orders to the various departments across the site;
Collating requests and placing orders in preparation for the following term;
Collating requests, placing orders and then distributing annual diaries;
Managing the School's main paper supplies;
Sourcing new and used textbooks;
Analysing monthly credit card statements and providing the Finance Department with the necessary charging reports;
Negotiating prices with suppliers;
Working with the Estates Team to place orders for furniture and related items;
Managing the orders for photocopier consumables across the School site;
Monitoring pupil spend;
Having an awareness of relevant health and safety requirements for the Bookstore area;
Receive and manage returned items to encourage re-use and reduction of waste;
Assisting the Main Reception in handling the lost and found property, repatriating named uniforms to pupils and passing unnamed uniforms to the PFA for sale;
Assisting the Head of Domestic Services with handling, sorting and distributing pupil items abandoned at the end of term and arranging delivery of said items to local charities.
