The post holder will be responsible for the general maintenance and repair of the Marina facility including buildings, plant, water control equipment, moving structures, ground cleansing and water space cleansing.



The post holder is required to be trained and qualified in the use of heavy boat lifting and handling equipment and will be responsible for the safe lifting and shoring up of customer vessels.



The post is based in a customer service orientated environment and will involve working a shift pattern including 3 out of 4 weekends & regular bank holidays. AM shifts start at 7am and PM shifts finish at 10pm. The post is outdoor based, and you will be required to work outside in all weather conditions.


In addition, the Bosun will be required to operate the River Tawe Barrage Lock, Trafalgar Swing Bridge, Marina Lock & Marina Swing Bridge. The Bosun will also need to prepare inspection reports using IT systems.


This is a physically demanding post.
