Job Description
We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Box Office Assistant. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and excellent service. This role involves handling ticket sales, bookings, and general enquiries while maintaining a professional and efficient reception area
Role Purpose
To provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for visitors, handling ticket sales, bookings, and general enquiries while ensuring smooth operation of the box office and reception area.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Handle ticket sales, bookings for parties, lessons, and group sessions. Operate tills and PDQ machines; manage cash and card transactions accurately. Maintain knowledge of pricing, promotions, and rink schedules. Answer telephone calls and respond to email enquiries promptly. Complete opening and closing checklists for the box office. Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area. Log and store lost property securely. Report any health and safety issues immediately to management. Assist with administrative tasks as required. Uphold company standards for personal appearance and uniform.
Skills & Requirements
Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and multitask. Basic IT and cash-handling experience. Flexible availability (including weekends and evenings). Previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 6 - 24 per week
Work Location: In person
