Job Summary

At Apollos Boxing in Bolton we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and developing athletes or participants, fostering a positive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to make a meaningful impact in the community. The Coach will work closely with boxers of various ages and skill levels, ensuring they reach their full potential through effective training and mentorship.

All training can be given - if your already a personal trainer we can teach you how to coach boxing correctly. As long as your motivated and enthusiastic!

Duties

Plan and deliver training sessions tailored to the skill levels and needs of participants Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to improve performance Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages teamwork and sportsmanship Monitor participant progress and adapt coaching strategies accordingly Organise and supervise practice drills, games, and competitions Ensure the safety of all participants during training and matches by adhering to health and safety guidelines Promote good behaviour, discipline, and respect among team members Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and parents to support athlete development programmes Maintain equipment and ensure training facilities are kept in good condition

Experience

Proven experience in coaching or teaching roles, preferably within a team environment Strong knowledge of sport-specific techniques, rules, and strategies Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels is desirable A recognised coaching qualification or relevant teaching certification is advantageous but not essential Passionate about sports development, education, and fostering a positive sporting culture
