Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating press brake machinery. This role is essential for fabricating high-quality sheet metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.

Duties

Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications. Set up tooling and fixtures for various production runs, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy. Conduct quality checks on finished products, utilising basic maths skills to measure dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any production issues that may arise.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with tooling, hand tools, and fabrication techniques is essential. Basic maths skills are required for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
