Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with the ability to operate press brake machinery effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that sheet metal components are produced to the highest standards of quality and precision.

Duties

Operate and set up press brake machines for bending and shaping sheet metal. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the correct tooling and settings. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet specifications. Utilise hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks as required. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficient in fabrication techniques, including welding and grinding. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in operating press brakes. Familiarity with sheet metal properties and handling techniques. Competent in using hand tools and tooling equipment effectively. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
