Reports to: General Manager's or Managing Director

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Branch Manager to run the brand new branch of Oneworld Travel. The postholder will drive the branch forwards by providing exceptional leadership and organisational skills, and by creating and selling bespoke travel packages in a fast-paced, customer service environment.

About us



We are an independent travel agency group with four branches located in the North of England. Our Wakefield store opened almost 23 years ago and has achieved impressive growth and success since it began trading. We are ABTA members, and we hold our own ATOL license and IATA, giving us the flexibility to package unique and tailormade holidays for our clients. This is what we are best known for and gives us advantages over other travel retail outlets on the high street.

About you



We are looking for someone who can integrate effectively into a strong, existing team by throwing themselves into new challenges and working with others to maximise success. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

? Previous experience working in a managerial role within a travel/ sales environment is essential.

? Passion for and demonstrable experience of travelling and adventure, and the desire to help others with the same interest.

? IT skills: experience using Microsoft Office applications and the ability to problem-solve IT-related issues.

? General administrative, financial and office skills.

? Experience working in a customer-service environment, with a confident, proactive and can-do attitude.

Daily tasks



? Provide strong motivational leadership to the team, contributing to the growth and development of the business

? Monitor and enhance the performance of their team, building skills and engagement within the branch (through regular goal setting, reviews, supervisory 1:1s, training and coaching sessions, recruitment and succession planning etc.)

? Provide a positive experience for all clients through utmost level of customer service

? Maximise sales by converting enquiries effectively and balancing commission with profit and customer satisfaction

? Proactively seek to build relationships, ensuring regular communication and follow up with clients

? Daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial reporting

? Create bespoke social media and newsletter content (articles, photographs, holiday 'deals')

? Working as a team with the other branches, helping with client enquiries etc. where needed

? Any other duties commensurate to the purpose of the post as determined by the Managing Director

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 27,729.00 per year

Work Location: In person
