Are you a creative and strategic communications leader ready to make a difference in our food and farming future? LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) is seeking a passionate and dynamic Brand and Communications Lead to shape and elevate our brand, amplify our mission, and engage a growing network of supporters and partners across the UK and beyond.
This is a new and exciting leadership role within LEAF, created to drive forward our brand and communications strategy as we continue to grow our reach and impact. You will play a central role in championing LEAF's work, guiding a talented team, and leading inspiring campaigns that connect people with the vital role of sustainable farming.
About the Role - What you will be responsible for:
Develop and deliver a compelling brand and communications strategy that brings our mission to life and strengthens our position as a leading voice for sustainable farming.
Act as brand guardian, ensuring clear, consistent, and values-led messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
Lead and inspire a cross-functional team including our Marketing and Communications Manager, Open Farm Sunday Manager, Fundraising Manager, and others in the wider team.
Oversee high-impact campaigns and events that engage farmers, policymakers, businesses, and the public.
Work closely with senior leadership and external partners to align brand initiatives with LEAF's strategic goals.
Monitor performance and impact, using insight and data to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Who we are looking for
We're looking for a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach -- someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-led environment and brings experience in delivering creative, results-driven campaigns on a modest charity budget.
You will be:
A proven brand and communications leader with at least 5 years of experience, including 3 in a senior role.
Skilled at managing and developing high-performing teams.
A creative storyteller with a strong track record of delivering engaging campaigns across digital, print, and events.
Confident working with stakeholders at all levels, from farmers to funders, policymakers to partners.
Passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact on the environment and food systems.
Desirable:
Experience in the environmental or agricultural sector.
Knowledge of sustainability issues and rural communities.
Understanding of fundraising communications and working with agencies or external consultants.
