About the Team...

You will be reporting directly into the Sales Director and leading a team of 2 Assistant Sourcing Managers.

The Role...

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Next Sourcing Brands team who manage the sourcing, development and manufacturing of ranges for internal Next licence brands including Ted Baker, Mint Velvet, and Laura Ashley, and external brands including Joules, Victoria\'s Secret and Jojo Maman.

You will:

  • Develop a short-term and long-term sales strategy, continuously monitoring sales performance whilst being aware of market trends and identifying new areas of potential growth
  • Collate and present regular business updates to NS Directors in order to review sales and opportunities to grow the business
  • Collaborate with global sourcing teams to convert new business opportunities from concept stage into orders
  • Identify the need for, and develop, new internal processes to accommodate the new ways of working across the brands and deliver to NS teams
  • Work with offshore NS teams to set-up internal processes to accommodate new ways of working on new brands
  • Support customers with their sourcing strategy, ensuring the right product is placed with the right territory in terms of capability, handwriting, price, lead time and overall business plan
  • Negotiate competitive costs with Offshore teams, and have a clear understanding of the detailed cost breakdown
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Next teams and external brands through regular face-to-face and virtual meetings to discuss existing ranges and new opportunities
  • Manage the Next Sourcing and customer\'s critical path to ensure orders are fulfilled on time
  • Source fabrics and materials for apparel and footwear with a focus on clear pricing architecture
  • Be adaptable to change and reactive to the latest direction on a growing department
  • Motivate, lead and develop your team
About You...
  • Experienced within account management, sourcing management, buying or merchandising
  • Confident dealing with key stakeholders and the Senior Leadership team
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • Organised, you\'ll be able to proactively manage a wide range of responsibilities
  • An exceptional communicator and negotiator, with a thorough understanding of critical path management and costs
  • Able to analyse, summarise and present information clearly and accurately
  • Experienced in managing and motivating a team
  • Have experience working in fashion retail and a keen interest in the product
