Established in 1994, ND Services is a roadside breakdown and recovery company based in the South offering repair and recovery services across the UK. With car and commercial workshops, we provide a solution for any eventuality.
Why We're Hiring:
Due to continued growth and the need for extended operational coverage, we are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our control room team for our evening shift. This position requires someone with sound judgement, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during quieter hours.
Unlike our daytime operations, the evening shift is steadier in pace but still requires focus, decision-making, and clear communication. You'll be responsible for keeping the control room running smoothly, dispatching any evening jobs, completing the day's administrative tasks, and ensuring a seamless handover to the following day's team.
While previous recovery industry experience is not required, you should be confident working alone and comfortable making decisions. A manager will always be available for assistance if needed.
The Role:
We are currently seeking an
Evening Breakdown and Recovery Dispatcher
to support our control room operations. The role primarily involves dispatching any live recovery jobs, finalising the day's work in our systems, and completing administrative tasks such as invoicing, job notes, and responding to customer emails.
You'll help ensure that the day's recoveries are correctly processed and recorded, and that our technicians and drivers have the information they need for any ongoing or next-day jobs.
This position runs
Monday to Friday, 18:00-00:00.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatching recovery and roadside jobs as they come in, ensuring the correct vehicle and driver are assigned.
Reviewing and finalising the day's completed work, preparing job sheets and invoices.
Handling customer emails and messages to provide updates or respond to queries.
Logging completed jobs and maintaining accurate system records using the APEX recovery system.
Communicating with on-call drivers and managers as needed to ensure smooth overnight operations.
General admin work, such as filing and data entry.
What we need from you:
Confidence to work independently and make operational decisions.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Good computer literacy and attention to detail.
Clear and professional communication skills.
A calm, methodical approach to work.
Basic understanding of UK geography (particularly local areas) preferred.
In return, we'll offer:
Support and training to help you develop within the role.
A friendly, supportive working environment.
Company pension scheme.
Employee discounts.
28 days holiday.
Please note:
