We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in childcare or early childhood education. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to lead activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children in various play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and learning.
Foster a positive environment where children can develop social skills and build friendships.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to provide updates on children's progress and any concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
Assist in the management of daily routines, including meal times and transitions between activities.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children in a childcare setting or nursery environment is essential.
A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play and learning experiences.
