Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the necessary skills to foster their development through play. This role is vital in supporting children's social, emotional, and physical growth while ensuring their safety and well-being. The children that the candidate will be working with are Key Stage 1 - Key Stage 2. During our Breakfast and After school Club. There may be opportunity to work within the Nursery in our rooms during nursery opening hours of 9am-3pm.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children during their time at Smiley Faces Nursery, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and confidence. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, ensuring all equipment is safe and in good condition. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment focused on the well-being of the children. Taking and collecting children from a local school with other colleagues.

Skills

Strong management and leadership abilities to guide children effectively. Knowledge of early childhood education principles to support developmental milestones. Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A nurturing attitude combined with patience and enthusiasm for child development. A Full and Relevant level 3 qualification in childcare
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
