Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to foster their development through play. As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for creating fun and educational activities that promote social, emotional, and physical growth.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and learning. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships. Manage behaviour in a positive manner, promoting respect and inclusivity among all children. Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Drive initiatives that support children's development in line with early years frameworks.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children and adults alike. Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential. Leadership abilities to inspire and guide children during activities. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude. A background in nursery settings or similar environments is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: 12.50 per hour
