Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. This role involves supporting various functions within our establishment, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of service.

Prepare all foodstuff, as directed by the Head Chef Assist and execute various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to Assist in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner Liaise with care staff and service users in a polite and person-centred way we are a dementia care home with residential residents- your role is to support them at breakfast time then support your cook for lunch.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by catering to residents' needs and preferences. Support serving staff during meal times, assisting to feed residents if needed, making and serving breakfast and hot drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including dining spaces and kitchens. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service and a positive dining experience for all guests. Assist with head chef, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure. A proactive attitude with great organisational abilities. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays as required. We offer online training and training in our care home it will all be provided When training is 100% you will qualify for a monthly training payment Any extra shifts out of your contracted hours will be paid at 1.50 extra per hour
