Responsibilities



Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation. Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating current culinary trends. Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills and professional development. Maintain high standards of food presentation, taste, and consistency across all dishes served. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to optimise workflow and minimise waste.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting. Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Extensive kitchen experience with a solid understanding of culinary practices. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards. Leadership qualities with excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience in restaurant service or hospitality environments is highly desirable. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 18,315.00-35,717.39 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
