Job Types:
Permanent, Part Time Monday to Friday, all year round (including school holidays)
Working hours:
1.5 hours per day (08:00am - 09:30am). 7.5 hours working week, with opportunities for overtime.
Salary:
Dependent on qualifications:
Unqualified = 12.26 per hour
Level 2 qualified in EYFS = 12.98 per hour
Level 3 qualified in EYFS = 13.46 per hour
OVERALL JOB ROLE
To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years
Contribute towards the care and supervision of the children during breakfast time and play, day to day housekeeping duties, ensuring Health and Safety standards are met, following policies and procedures.
To ensure the room and resources are safe and appropriate for children, staff and others
To develop partnerships with parents/carers.
DUTIES
To support the nursery with effective running of our breakfast session.
Assisting children aged 0-5 with breakfast.
Set up of the room post breakfast to ensure readiness for the day's activities ahead.
To take small groups of children and provide appropriate activities in line with guidance from the EYFS.
To have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures.
To act as an excellent role model to the staff team and children.
To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nursery
To uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
To work as part of the team
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (DESIRABLE)
Experience of working in a nursery
Experience of working in a team
Minimum level 2 in early years or equivalent
Some knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage
Good standard of English
PERSONAL STYLE AND BEHAVIOUR
Excellent verbal communication skills with staff, children and parents
Able to use written English to write reports and keep clear and accurate records
Basic Administrative skills
