Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team - offering both breakfast service and items from the lunchtime menu. The ideal candidate will have extensive kitchen experience and a strong background in food production and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires a strong ability to cope on your own initiative as there will be times when this role is working the service alone.

Duties

Help coordinate daily food production activities. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications. Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure the section prep is always up to date. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials. Be passionate about what you produce. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area. Monitor portion control and waste management to optimise efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with culinary qualifications or certifications.
