role based at our

Dalhousie Castle Hotel

&

Aqueous Spa.

As a Team Member, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of food service and hospitality, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

As a

Breakfast Team Member

for the

Dalhousie Castle Hotel

, we are looking for a positive can do attitude to drive exceptional standards and guest experience. You will be responsible for the following tasks;

Provide outstanding guest services by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly. Assist in food preparation and presentation, adhering to culinary standards and food safety regulations. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and promote menu items effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Perform basic maths for order processing and cash handling accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours, demonstrating excellent time management skills. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of menu offerings. F&B operations across restaurant, bar and function rooms
All complaints, comments, special requests and other business are to be recorded in the daily handover log

Set to and maintain breakfast standards

Prepare and serve food items to company and hygiene standards

To clear and set tables

To complete all statutory training within set timelines

Responsible for maintaining a comfortable atmosphere in the public areas by controlling and monitoring heating, lighting, music/tv

To operate the hotel's EPOS systems and to be fully conversant on till systems.

To provide a warm welcome to all guests and ensure they receive excellent quality of service when in any of the F&B outlets and throughout the hotel

Polishing cutlery and preparation of glasses and crockery ready for service

Ensure you are remaining fully compliant with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations Completion of the shift handovers and shift checklists To be aware of all local events, all local competitors to ensure that our F&B operation and product remains the market leader Ensure compliance with regard to food hygiene and hotel food and beverage systems in line with the company Food Policy & current legislation

Skills



Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Basic culinary skills with an eagerness to learn more about food preparation. Proficient in basic maths for handling transactions and order calculations. Effective time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods. Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential. A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
