Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities. Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently during service. Assist with basic food preparation when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed. Manage multiple tables effectively during busy periods through excellent time management skills. Provide attentive guest services, responding promptly to requests or concerns. Maintain cleanliness of the service area, including tables, utensils, and condiments. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques. Familiarity with basic food preparation and kitchen procedures is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner. Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and order processing purposes. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A proactive attitude towards upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue generation.
