Breast Buddies Dundee Group Worker - Home-based, 10 hours per week

Salary:

7,949.78 - 8,602.53 per annum (pro-rata), FTE 27,824.24 - 30,108.87, dependent on experience

Location:

Dundee-based, with regular travel across Dundee City

Following the closure of Home-Start Dundee in March 2025, Home-Start Perth and Kinross is proud to continue the Dundee Breast Buddies service--ensuring Dundee families receive the same trusted support they know and value.

Breast Buddies, established in 2017, is a peer-support programme that helps mums overcome breastfeeding challenges and feed their babies the way they choose.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a

Breast Buddies Group Worker

, based in Dundee and working from home, to support and grow volunteer-led peer groups in local communities. This role offers flexibility, the chance to make a real difference to families, and the satisfaction of helping mums feel confident and supported during one of the most important times in their lives.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting volunteers who run groups Organising venues and resources Drawing up rotas and providing cover Collecting data and developing 'pop-up cafe' meet-ups Promoting Breast Buddies to health professionals and the community (including via social media) Providing direct support to mothers where appropriate Assisting with recruitment and training of new peer supporters
The role involves travel throughout Dundee. A current driving licence and access to a car are essential. Mileage will be reimbursed.
