Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship on every project.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry units according to specifications and blueprints. Construct walls, arches, and other structures using bricklaying techniques. Prepare surfaces for masonry work by cleaning and applying mortar or other bonding agents. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met. Perform repairs and maintenance on existing structures as needed. Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to the trade. Knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong physical stamina, as the role requires lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
