Due to continued growth and investment we are looking to strengthen our site production team and are therefore seeking a Brick Specials Fabricator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a stable and varied position with an opportunity to gain or enhance skills within the building/construction industry. The suitable candidate will be responsible for fabricating special shaped bricks and tiles depending on the manufacturing needs and project demands.
Immediate start available.
The job purpose is to:
Operate a fully automated cutting machine
Operate a brick saw machine
Bond bricks into special shapes to enable easier and quicker creative brickwork design
Ensure colour and bond is mixed accurately to ensure a quality finish
Work to drawings and instructions
Work well on their own and within a team
Cooperate with all staff
Follow all health and safety regulations
The candidate:
Will be accurate and always have excellent attention to detail to ensure quality and an excellent finish
Will be able to use measuring equipment and various hand and power tools
Must be able to multi-skill and be hardworking
Will have a positive 'can do' attitude and organisational skills
Will be able to undertake repetitive tasks
Will always maintain a clean working environment
Must be able to maintain good timekeeping and attendance record
Be able to adhere to all H&S procedures
Previous experience in a similar role or with a pottery industry background would be an advantage.
