Job Description

Our busy construction company currently hiring a skilled Bricklayer / General Builder on a self-employment basis. Our team specializes in commercial projects and working to a high standards, so experience is essential.

Responsibilities include:



Lay bricks, blocks, and stone according to specifications and architectural drawings, construct structural walls, partitions, and facades for commercial buildings, build cavity walls, reinforced concrete walls, and retaining walls.

Prepare foundations for brickwork and ensure the proper alignment, height, and level, help with pouring concrete and setting up formwork.

Prepare and organize the worksite, ensuring it's safe, tidy, and ready for bricklaying.

Manage and organize materials ensuring they are used efficiently and in the correct quantities.

Collaborate with other trades (e.g., carpenters, electricians) to ensure smooth workflow on site.

Always follow health and safety regulations, including the proper use of tools and equipment.

Requirements:



Proven experience in commercial bricklaying

Registered as self employed

Own Public Liability Insurance

Own hand tools

Able to read and work from drawings

Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

200/day based on 7am-5pm shift, negotiable, dependent on experience
