Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in various construction techniques. The Brick Mason will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, structures, and other features using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints. Construct walls, arches, and other structures with precision and skill. Mix mortar and ensure proper consistency for optimal adhesion. Perform repairs on existing brickwork and masonry structures as needed. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the construction process. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met.

Skills

Proficiency in bricklaying techniques and masonry practices. Experience with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels. Familiarity with power tools including saws and mixers used in masonry work. Basic carpentry skills are advantageous for integrating masonry with other building elements. Knowledge of roofing techniques is beneficial for projects involving both masonry and roofing work. Welding skills are a plus for certain structural applications within masonry projects.
