Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work on various construction projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, structures, and other masonry elements using bricks, stones, and other materials.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to specifications and plans. Construct walls, arches, and other structures using appropriate techniques. Mix mortar and other bonding agents as needed for various projects. Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers on-site. Perform repairs on existing masonry structures as required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to masonry work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials. Knowledge of safety protocols in construction environments. Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory. A valid driver's licence is preferred for transportation to various job sites.
