Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working with bricks, blocks, and other materials to construct and repair structures, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.

Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints. Construct walls, arches, and other structures using hand tools and power tools. Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment. Mix mortar and other bonding agents to secure masonry units. Perform repairs on existing structures as needed, including repointing and patching. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and roofers, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and regulations.

Skills

Proficiency in bricklaying techniques and masonry practices. Experience with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels. Familiarity with power tools used in construction, including saws and mixers. Basic carpentry skills for integrating masonry work with wooden structures. Understanding of roofing principles to assist in related projects when necessary. Knowledge of welding techniques is an advantage for certain masonry applications. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
