Bricklaying Trainee
Job Description
We are working with local companies in the Construction Sector who are looking to recruit trainee bricklayers from our trainee bricklayers.
The post is for a training programme to acquire the basic skills and knowledge and an apprenticeship may be offered by the employer after work placement if
The successful applicant will need to be keen, reliable and hardworking. Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role is essential.
The training sessions taught
Introduction to bricklaying , learning about the hand tools, correct usage of tools and standards for bricklaying
Applying or removing mortar with trowel
build brickwork to required standards and plans, includes cavity walls , solid walls and forming openings in structures,
mixing mortar with an electric mixer
calculations for cost and quantity
Health and Safety training for the construction environment
The training is practical alongside knowledge based work books
Required Skills
excellent time keeping
full attendance
Initial level 1&2 training is delivered at our Jarrow , with help towards expenses.
Job Type: Apprenticeship
Pay: 7.55 per hour
