The Role: Broking Assistant

We have a fabulous opportunity for someone who has recently completed their Secondary School or College education looking to start their career within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to colleagues to ensure we exceed the Company\xe2\x80\x99s expectations on renewal retention:
  • Prepare pre-renewal documentation for colleagues.
  • Carry out PIB Due Diligence and Sanction Check process.
  • Collaborate with Loss Adjusters/Insurers to carry out full five-year claims cleanse ensuring claims reserves are up to date and accurate.
  • Calculate and tabulate the policy\xe2\x80\x99s five years premium and loss ratio.
  • Engage with insurers on early expectations and request pre-renewal meeting or call.
  • Prepare up to date and accurate expiring portfolio spreadsheet / expiring policy sums insured.
  • To take ownership and responsibility for the allocated renewals under \xc2\xa35,000 premium.
  • To provide general administrative support to colleagues, including credit control, Acturis updates and ensure PIB\xe2\x80\x99s Quality Assurance and due diligence measures are all met:
  • Maintain client records on Acturis
  • Emails to Clients and Insurers stored into Electronic File
  • Maintain PIB Quality Assurance procedures in relation to evidence of cover, contract certainty and treating customer fairly.
  • Invoicing
  • Prepare and report to Account Executive the Clients\xe2\x80\x99 Credit Control position.
  • To communicate Engineering Inspection Reports to Clients when they are received from the different Insurers (currently Zurich, Allianz and Brit).
  • To provide an excellent claims handling service and support to customers:
  • Manage provision of management information from nominated Loss Adjusters / Insurers
  • Diary and chase insurers and customers to ensure a swift and optimum settlement.
  • Keep the Account Executive informed of large notifications and any trends.
  • Update Acturis.
  • Ensure efficient office management and general housekeeping:
  • Writing & Dispatching routine letters/emails
  • Answering general telephone queries
  • Photocopying and scanning documents
  • Opening post
  • Maintaining a tidy office and working environment
  • To maintain adequate levels of office stationery and ensure is stored tidily.
  • To welcome and to host any visitors to the Arlington office.
  • Paying in Cheques
  • Promote Arlington\xe2\x80\x99s reputation within the sector through attending any relevant functions/seminars where applicable.
  • Adhering, upholding, and championing the \xe2\x80\x9cArlington Expectations\xe2\x80\x9d of the way we work together.
