Job Description

As a Junior Brunch Chef your role will be to work cohesively with staff and be responsible for day-to-day tasks under the guidance of the Head Chef, Senior Chef and the Cafe Manager. This includes kitchen cleanliness, food preparation and service. You will be given tasks by your line manager to complete efficiently throughout the day.

Duties and responsibilities



Work with the Head Chef and Senior Chef to ensure a smooth running of the Kitchen, working in partnership alongside our front of house team. Work cohesively within the kitchen team, working consistently to company standards. This includes preparation, service, and portion control. Cook our brunch dishes to order as well as prepare everything needed for our daily menu items with a good knowledge of our offerings and being able to answer questions regarding ingredients and allergens confidently. Placing orders to the correct par levels. Prepare Deli items such as sandwiches, toasties, baguettes and sausage rolls. Ensure you maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene. Ensure you are completing the daily and weekly cleaning check sheets to a high standard. Follow Health and Safety policies, processes, safe working practices and SSBB standards as shown in the training document.

Job-related skills, Knowledge, Personal attributes & skills required



Proficient understanding of the principles of food hygiene and understanding of health and safety policies and procedures to ensure they are followed correctly. Well organised and can work efficiently both through your own initiative and as a part of a team. Positive role model with a friendly demeanour. Quality focused with great attention to detail. Responsible and reliable in all areas of your work. An effective trouble-shooter with the ability to resolve problems promptly.

Hours and work schedule



Our kitchen operates from 7.30 AM to 3:00 PM, seven days a week. Consequently, shifts typically run from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We do not have split shifts, ensuring a consistent and manageable work schedule for our team.

We offer a pay bracket specifically for employees aged 18-21.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
