We are now seeking a
Building & Compliance Manager
to join our team and play a key role in ensuring 100% statutory and contractual compliance across key national sites.
Role Overview
This hybrid role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive manager with a strong background in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and compliance for building services. The successful candidate will oversee both static and mobile/reactive building maintenance activities, ensuring service delivery is consistent, safe, and fully compliant.
Key Responsibilities
PPM Management:
Oversee, schedule and track all planned preventative maintenance activities across key client sites nationwide.
Compliance Oversight:
Ensure full building compliance with statutory regulations and client-mandated standards - including fire safety, water hygiene, electrical safety, gas safety, HVAC, and other M&E services.
Reactive & Static Maintenance:
Coordinate and manage both static site maintenance and mobile/reactive tasks, ensuring prompt response and effective issue resolution.
Client Reporting:
Maintain and deliver accurate, clear and timely compliance reports to the client, highlighting performance, risks, and recommendations.
Contractor & Supplier Liaison:
Work closely with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure PPM and compliance tasks are delivered to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
Audit Preparation & Documentation:
Keep all relevant documentation up to date and audit-ready, including asset registers, risk assessments, service records, permits to work, and logbooks.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance compliance, reduce risk, and increase operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in facilities/building services management with a strong compliance background.
Excellent understanding of statutory building compliance (e.g., SFG20, H&S regulations, L8, F-Gas, etc.).
Experience managing nationwide PPM and reactive works.
Strong organisational and reporting skills with the ability to present compliance data effectively.
Competent in CAFM systems and digital record-keeping.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Full UK driving licence preferred (for occasional site visits).
