We are a guest house based in three separate locations, where we work with residents to ensure their basic needs are met. The ideal candidate would be friendly, approachable, and professional. The role will be lone working, you must be confident and able to have good initiative. The role includes tasks such as:
Checking residents are in or out of the guesthouse
Ensure regular patrol in and around the building are conducted
Carrying out daily checks on fire doors, clear any obstructions
Keeping an accurate fire register
To ensure housekeeping is conducted before guests arrive
To ensure communal areas are kept clean and tidy
Carrying out stock checks
Supporting your manager with random spot checks by acting as a witness and recording the details
Handing out meals to residents
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
Contributing to the maintenance of the building by reporting faults or damage to fixtures
Ensuring all rules, regulation, policies, and procedures are being always adhered
Contacting the relevant agencies when relevant
Composing a detailed handover report at the end of each shift
The successful candidate will have:
Excellent communication skills and an ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional tone at all times
Organisational skills and a methodical approach to dealing with the varied needs of the residents
Basic IT skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with data protection act and handle situations with sensitivity and tact
Willingness to work shifts and unsocial hours
The ability to adapt working style to the needs of the situation
All employees have full support from HQ at all times and necessary training will be provided throughout employment.

Role requires a clear DBS. We will obtain the check for candidates without a current certificate
Locations: Barry and Caerphilly - candidates will be based at the location nearest to where they live, but may be scheduled to work in either area if required
