The Role
As
Building Infrastructure Manager
, you'll lead the strategic planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of BHX's building systems and facilities. You'll ensure all infrastructure assets operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards--supporting our growth and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the management and performance of all critical building assets, including terminal fabrics, HVAC, LSS, lifts, airbridges, and electrical systems.
Develop and deliver the Building Infrastructure Plan, ensuring alignment with airport strategy and service levels.
Define asset management standards, budgets, and long-term maintenance strategies.
Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all asset classes.
Drive continuous improvement through data-led performance monitoring and lifecycle planning.
Develop a resource and outsourcing strategy to maintain operational resilience.
Oversee contract and supplier performance to deliver value and reliability.
Build strong engagement with internal teams, stakeholders, and concession partners.
Duties
Maintain accurate asset registers, maintenance schedules, and performance data in line with BAL standards.
Produce and update Asset Management Plans and compliance frameworks.
Implement contingency and business continuity plans for critical systems.
Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team.
Plan and deliver infrastructure projects through defined gateway processes (e.g. GW0).
Champion innovation and sustainability in infrastructure operations.
Manage utilities and property maintenance across all airport buildings.
Ensure training and professional development supports compliance and excellence.
About You
Experienced in managing complex building systems in a large operational environment, ideally aviation or transport.
Strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering.
Skilled in asset management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Professionally qualified (e.g., Chartered Engineer, IWFM, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
A proactive leader who inspires collaboration, resilience, and continuous improvement.
