In this role, you'll gain wide-ranging experience in construction project coordination, workplace safety, customer service, and the use of industry-standard tools and practices. You'll work across our teams to support the maintenance, refurbishment, and improvement of local authority buildings.
You will:
Assist in the delivery of day-to-day building maintenance
Learn to read and work with technical drawings and survey data
Help maintain accurate project records
Support contract documentation and tender preparation
Study towards a Engineering qualification (depending on entry qualifications)
Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Apprentice
This apprenticeship is tailored to those interested in the technical side of building services, such as boiler plant installation, electrical rewiring, and maintenance compliance. You'll develop practical and managerial skills relevant to Mechanical & Electrical maintenance, in line with British industry standards.
You will:
Support M&E project coordination and post-completion commissioning
Maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively
Contribute to ensuring compliance targets are met
Help review and verify completed works
Study towards a Engineering qualification (depending on entry qualifications)
What We're Looking For:
5 or more GCSEs (grades A-C / grade 4 or above), including English and Maths
OR
BTEC Level 2 Diploma (Merit/Distinction) plus English/Maths Level 2 A genuine interest in construction or M&E building services
Basic IT skills (e.g., using an iPad)
Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities
Awareness of basic health and safety practices
Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
