About the role:



We are seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee one of our client's key commercial buildings in Uxbridge. You'll manage day-to-day building operations, ensure statutory compliance, coordinate contractors, and act as the primary point of contact for occupiers, providing a high-quality service and creating a positive occupier experience.

This role is ideal for someone with strong facilities and building management experience, who enjoys leading a small team and delivering excellent customer service.

Job duties:



Occupier & Customer Management

Act as the first point of contact for occupier queries, resolving complaints quickly and professionally. Maintain strong relationships with occupiers, surveyors, and service partners. Communicate regularly to keep occupiers informed of building activities.
Operations & Compliance

Oversee daily building operations, including contractor management and monitoring performance. Ensure statutory and legal compliance, with all inspections, repairs, and risk assessments completed on time. Conduct regular building inspections and produce reports.
Team Leadership & Administration

Manage, motivate, and support a small team, including performance management, training, and appraisals. Ensure staff wages, expenses, and HR processes are correctly handled. Conduct monthly one-to-one meetings and manage holiday and absence schedules.
Financial & Service Charge Management

Produce and manage service charge budgets, reconciliations, and variance reports. Liaise with contractors to ensure services are delivered efficiently and within budget.

What we're looking for:



Proven experience in Building Management, Facilities Management, or similar roles. Strong customer service skills with a proactive, professional approach. Experience managing and motivating a small team. Confident IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise a busy workload.
