About Us
Edge Computers Limited, a fast-growing technology and refurbishment company, has recently expanded into property renovation and development. We've purchased a large commercial building in the Saltney area of Chester and are now seeking a hands-on Renovation / Project Manager to take full ownership of the renovation project from start to finish -- with the potential for a long-term, full-time position managing future projects across the business.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced and practical Project Manager who can coordinate, plan, and deliver all aspects of a multi-trade building renovation. You'll manage tradespeople, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the project stays on schedule, on budget, and to a high standard.The ideal candidate will not only have strong leadership and organisational skills, but also the confidence and ability to get involved directly when needed -- someone who's happy to pick up a tool, oversee quality on site, and help keep things moving efficiently.
Please note:
Only applicants with proven experience in construction project management or multi-trade renovation skills will be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the renovation project from planning to completion
Coordinate and supervise all trades (electrical, cabling, plastering, plumbing, painting, joinery, etc.)
Source and manage subcontractors, materials, and quotations for director approval
Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times
Liaise directly with the company director to provide regular updates
Take a practical, hands-on approach where required to keep the project running smoothly
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Construction or Project Manager in renovation, fit-out, or property development
Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
Good understanding of multiple trades and ability to manage site teams effectively
Ability to read drawings, plan work, and control budgets
Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel locally (Chester/Saltney area)
Ideally able to contribute practical trade skills
