Our Edinburgh office is situated in the heart of the bustling city centre, with panoramic views of the castle, gardens and Princes Street below. The office is always alive with activity as it houses a 65-strong team consisting of mechanical, electrical, civil, structural and support teams. The office's open plan kitchen and staff break out area often plays host to our team's socialising time, whether it's over a morning coffee, lunch or after work unwind.


Your responsibilities will include the preparation of mechanical and electrical drawings from designs undertaken by the MEP engineers. This will involve preparation of models and drawings from hand drawings, sketches or from part layouts prepared by others. You shall be responsible for the archiving and filing of all drawings produced by Harley Haddow plus the incoming drawing information obtained from other design team members. The plotting of all drawings shall be managed by the BIM department.



You shall ensure that MEP drawings produced are of a high standard and adhere to BIM/CAD standards.



Where you have chosen to undertake First Aid training and are appointed as a First Aider in the company you have a responsibility to keep your training up to date and also carry out monthly checks on first aid supplies.


Key Areas of Focus




Receipt and management/filing of incoming drawings from other design team members Preparation of MEP drawings for issue to external parties Use of Revit for modelling on BIM projects Filing and archiving of drawings prepared by Harley Haddow General engineering assistance duties - scanning, pdf'ing, setting up drawings etc

Utilise and develop understanding of all necessary design software not limited to those identified below

Primary Responsibilities




To manage the digital storage and reproduction of incoming and design drawings issued for projects. To adhere to BIM/CAD standard and layering convention on all drawings produced by Harley Haddow. To produce MEP design drawings designed by the MEP engineers for issue to external parties to meet agreed programmes and deadlines. To ensure that the quality and presentation of models and drawings is maintained and improved. To adhere to company quality, environment and H&S accredited standards as required for your role Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you Take reasonable care of your own and other people's health and safety Co-operate with your employer on health and safety



Role Requirements





Qualifications - HND/HNC qualified in BIM/CAD draughting or engineering



Knowledge & Experience - Good IT skills with experience of MS Office Suite etc. People skills and team working.
