Venue Cymru is the regions busiest arts and events centre, comprising of a 1,500 seat theatre, 2,500 capacity arena and a full range of high-quality conference and event spaces. We present a diverse arts programme, from West End Shows to our own Young Creatives performances, and host high profile conferences and events throughout the year. We are now recruiting for a competent Building Services Officer to join our dedicated team.


This is a hands-on role covering all three of our sites: Venue Cymru, Theatr Colwyn, and Porth Eirias but the main base of work day-to-day will be at Venue Cymru, Llandudno.


You'll play a key part in keeping our buildings safe, functional, and looking their best by carrying out a wide range of general maintenance tasks, including:





Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance Simple electrical work (socket or light fitting changes etc) Basic carpentry and joinery tasks General building repairs and upkeep Painting and decorating across the venues We're looking for someone who is confident using tools, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and who takes pride in completing jobs to a high standard.


Advantageous skills:


Previous experience in a maintenance or trade role Practical knowledge of plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and general building work Strong painting and decorating skills Awareness of building safety checks (or willingness to learn) A proactive approach to problem-solving Willingness to work flexibly across different sites This is a permanent part time post, with the hours of work being on an annualised hours contract working for an average of 20 hours a week. Friday working will be a requirement, however other days are negotiable dependant on the programme of work.


To ensure adequate bilingual provision within the section, the ability to communicate in English is essential and the ability to converse in Welsh would be desirable for this post
