The job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated building supervisor to oversee the smooth running of a high-quality residential development in Bath. Acting as the main on-site point of contact, you'll ensure the property is managed to the highest standards, delivering exceptional service to residents and maintaining close communication with the off-site property management team.
This role involves day-to-day operational duties, ensuring compliance with best practice, health and safety, and company standards. A hands-on approach and excellent organisational skills are key, as you'll take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents.
Job duties:
Be available on site during agreed working hours, providing support and assistance to residents for general, non-urgent matters
Conduct regular site inspections and record maintenance issues, escalating findings to the property management team
Maintain an electronic daily log of calls, maintenance issues, contractor visits, and general observations, submitting reports weekly
Supervise contractors on site, ensuring professionalism, safety, and cleanliness throughout works
Plan and share upcoming community activities for residents, ensuring these are inclusive and in line with site policy
Maintain tidiness of communal areas and gardens, including minor cleaning and light maintenance tasks
Manage bookings for shared facilities such as the lounge, dining hall, or cinema room
Perform weekly checks such as fire alarm testing, visual fire extinguisher inspections, and water flushing in unoccupied apartments
Report defects, coordinate small repairs, and support compliance checks in line with company policy
Keep accurate records of absences, holidays, and site notices in coordination with the property management team
Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times
What We're Looking For:
Experience in residential property, block, or facilities management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on resident satisfaction
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Practical maintenance knowledge and confidence supervising contractors
Familiarity with compliance and safety procedures (fire safety, water hygiene, etc.)
Proactive, self-motivated, and professional in approach
Comfortable using digital systems and maintaining records
