Responsibilities



As a TCN Building Supervisor, you are a visible part of the on-site team which is the face of TCN to our occupiers, expressing the vibrancy of the TCN brand and behaving in line with our values in everything you do. Key responsibilities are to:

Support the Campus Manager in the Management of our buildings so that they run efficiently to our occupiers' satisfaction.

Help maintain records of property and equipment maintenance on site, along with any relevant statutory inspections such as Fire Risk assessment, Water Assessments, asbestos records etc.

Carry out repairs and maintenance items directly on site as required.

Take a practical and proactive approach to the maintenance of the building, including cleanliness and security, working with the Campus Manager and the TCN team members as required.

Manage the PPM schedule, ensuring that all compliance is booked ahead of time and managed efficiently.

Monitor and review relevant budget lines to ensure that all works are tracked and reported correctly and within budget reporting regularly to the Campus Manager and Facilities Manager.

Control and manage the tender procurement procedure onsite including tendering new contracts and managing the budget for these.

Liaise with other team members to exchange and uphold best practices

Report regularly regarding maintenance and security issues to the Campus Manager.

Support the Campus Manager and Facilities Manager in any construction/development projects onsite

Complete and maintain all statutory health and safety, and compliance records on site, keeping all records within the recognised TCN systems.

Develop complex, in depth understanding of all building equipment and services

Be the main point of contact for all Member fit out projects, communicating clearly with the Facilities Manager, Campus Manager and Members.

Manage the dilapidations process, where this is for a large complex space, work in conjunction with the relevant manager

Communicate clearly and effectively with the Campus Manager to ensure that the full team are aware of projects, timelines, budgets and ongoing issues

Build great relationships with our occupiers based on mutual respect

Assist the Campus Manager with event set-up - e.g. moving furniture, drinks etc

Liaise with Campus Manager to ensure that all services are supplied to our occupiers efficiently

Day to Day Maintenance and Building Fabric



Carry out ad hoc maintenance and general repairs, ensuring that any decorating and furniture requirements are reported to the Campus Manager.

Carry out ad hoc cleaning and clearance duties as may be required.

Develop and maintain good contacts / relationships with the contractors

Assist the Campus Manager in ensuring that all break out spaces, communal and external areas are kept clean, tidy and, where appropriate, fully stocked with consumables.

Assist members in Clubspace with any maintenance issues they may have

Ensure all vacant units and communal spaces are consistently kept to a high standard to support the viewing experience for prospective members

Carry out day to day caretaker duties

Ensure all onsite logs and audits are kept up to date including the out of hours information and contact details

Take responsibility for all utility meter reads along with measures to monitor and reduce unnecessary consumption

Relationship Management, Customers and Community



Be the first point of contact for members, visitors and contractors

Deal with incoming/outgoing post

Provide support to the Campus Manager and cover absence / holidays

Be familiar with and provide copies of the Members handbook to new members and staff

Record and notify CM of any campus occurrences, feeding back any relevant information

Assist Campus Manager with out of hours incidents

Develop and maintain good knowledge of who does what at TCN to facilitate efficient communication and problem solving

Health and Safety



Responsible for the ongoing health and safety compliance system

Fire marshal qualification and first aid qualification. Know the building exits, fire equipment and emergencies procedures on site.

Weekly fire alarm testing

6 monthly first evacuation drills

Personal Skills and Experience



Property Maintenance & Repairs:

High level of practical experience and standards in general property maintenance and repairs. This role would suit someone with basic plumbing, decorating, electrical and IT skills.

Cleaning & Upkeep:

Maintains high standards in cleaning, general upkeep of the space, and estate management.

IT & Systems:

Experience with, or ability to learn, computer database systems and software packages, including Word and Excel.

Numeracy & Literacy:

Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.

Interpersonal Skills:

Demonstrates warmth, diplomacy, and a positive, upbeat attitude.

Customer Service:

Strong understanding of customer service principles and ability to resolve occupier issues constructively.

Adaptability:

Can adapt to the needs of different occupiers while balancing the priorities of the organisation.

Autonomy & Responsibility:

Able to work independently, take ownership of duties, and manage responsibilities effectively.

Problem Solving:

Resourceful and creative in finding solutions to unexpected challenges.

Multitasking:

Enjoys handling multiple tasks simultaneously and dealing with unexpected situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 29,000.00-32,000.00 per year
