We're looking for a Building Testing Supervisor to take charge of a small, dedicated team of Building Services Testing Officers. If you're experienced in fire systems, inspections, and maintenance, and thrive on getting hands-on; this could be the role for you.
You'll be the visible, on-site leader making sure our communal areas and resident safety systems are inspected, maintained, and logged with precision. From fire alarms to flat entrance doors; you'll keep everything in check.

What you'll be doing
No two days are the same. You'll be out and about, leading the operational side of fire safety and building equipment servicing. You'll:
Supervise a team of 9 Building Services Testing Officers across the Midlands, London, and the Southeast
Oversee inspections of:
+ Fire alarms, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers
+ Flat entrance and communal fire doors
+ Property Information Boxes (PIBs)
+ AOVs/MOVs, lift lines, and plant rooms Carry out inspections, record activities on Keystone using mobile devices, and follow up on faults
Raise orders and make sure urgent repairs are picked up quickly
Support Fire Risk Assessment activities and signage checks
Ensure data is kept up to date and accurate across CRM and asset management systems
Help shape geographic inspection plans with the Fire Services Manager
Attend resident events and meetings when required putting our people at the heart of your work
Lead on team development through performance reviews and goal setting
What we're looking for:
We need someone who blends hands-on technical experience with leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for safety. You'll be confident working independently and managing people in the field.
You'll need to bring:
Strong working knowledge of fire safety systems and legislation
Experience in servicing and maintaining building services equipment
Experience using Keystone or similar asset management systems
Solid understanding of electrical systems and IEE Wiring Regulations
Leadership experience in a maintenance or field-based environment
A great eye for detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
A customer-first attitude and the ability to work with residents and colleagues alike
It would be great if you also have certifications like:
ICEL Advanced Emergency Lighting
FIA Installation & Testing of Fire Alarms
NICEIC Safe Isolation / Electrical Accessory Replacement
Fire Door and Fire Extinguisher Servicing
Health & Safety or Fire Risk Assessment experience
