Role Purpose:
The Business Administration apprentice will learn, assist and in term provide administrative support to various departments within the Belron UK Supply Chain, alongside the completion of a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship. The apprentice will have responsibility for the coordination of tasks within the Central Purchasing, Goods Inwards, Daily Stock Outbound/Returns, Bardon Customer Service team and Wholesale Hub teams.
Key responsibilities:
Day-to-day management of the purchase orders (POs), backorder processes and liaison with approved suppliers and the Customer Experience Centre (CEC) to ensure customers are kept informed on the progress of their job when delivery dates of specific stock cannot be confirmed due to external supply shortfalls.
Balance customer needs against business KPIs, taking into consideration job timings when placing orders.
Monitor, communication and work to resolve problems with the Goods Inwards & Mini Distribution Centre (MDC) teams where expected delivery dates have not been achieved or stock needs to be made available to order.
Work with the Stock Outbound team to assist on monitoring and resolution of any outbound stock issues to Mini with the relevant team members of all stock outbound to MDCs or Autoglass sites.
Communicate daily with network distribution points to confirm expected delivery of stock.
Assist in the monitoring or transactions/orders released from Remedy into Oracle, assisting the DC with replenishment orders. Perform analysis of both Oracle and Remedy transactions where trans-shipment is required from the Distribution Centre
Assist with the management of internal returns and the 3rd Party Supplier returns process, ensuring all unused or damaged materials are returned and credited wherever possible via both internal process and manufacturers systems where applicable.
Effectively control the stock shortage process, ensuring that when product becomes available it is allocated as per the agreed priority process.
Assist with the management of internal couriers, carriage charges incurred in the delivery of items.
Assist the Wholesale Hub by taking calls, placing orders, dealing with delivery or stock issues and any customer service queries related to Wholesale customers.

Scale of role:
For the first 12-18 months of the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will study towards a Business Administration qualification. Upon successful completion, tailored conversations will then explore onward pathway onto an apprenticeship within a more specialised area of our business.
