Salary: \xc2\xa320,812 to \xc2\xa321,189 per annum
Working Pattern: Full Time (37 hours per week), Monday to Friday. You may be required to work outside of normal working hours for specific events and conferences
Contract Length: Apprenticeship until 31 March 2025
Location: Hybrid role based at County Hall, Chichester with home working

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will join our Education, Business and Communications Team within our Education and Skills Directorate, providing a customer focused service to others.

You will have the chance to learn and grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will receive hands-on experience in various areas of business administration to widen your experience, working alongside experienced professionals who are eager to mentor and guide you every step of the way.

Examples of day-to-day responsibilities

  • Support with communications and newsletters.
  • Data entry.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external services.
  • Information database maintenance and management.
  • Support with training & events for the service.
  • Opportunities to get involved with wider initiatives such as project work or learning new skills through wider teams.
You will work towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Advanced Apprenticeship provided by Weir Training.

You will be required to undertake and complete the various elements of this Apprenticeship. This will involve attending college and working with an assessor to develop a work-based portfolio.

You will be an ambassador for apprenticeships within the Council and will be expected to attend events to share your experiences with young people, parents, and other stakeholders.

Key Skills: * A good standard of literacy, numeracy, and accuracy with data input.
  • The ability to use Microsoft software packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and use your initiative to get things done.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills (including presentations).
  • Ability to work as part of a team to deliver an excellent service to clients.
  • A flexible approach to work tasks and a willingness to learn new skills.
Qualifications and/or experience:
  • Minimum GCSE English and Maths. You will need to provide evidence of your GCSE grades.
