We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Administrator to join our team to provide high-level administrative, HR and finance support to ensure the efficient operation of Skern and it's various brands.
This role involves managing day-to-day administrative tasks, supporting HR processes, assisting with financial operations, and maintaining accurate records to uphold compliance and business standards.
The Business Administrator will act as a key link between departments, suppliers and stakeholders, ensuring smooth operational delivery and alignment with Skern's values and purpose.
The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent organisational abilities, and prior experience in office administration.
This role is based at both our Appledore and Abbotsham sites and you will need to be able to travel to both locations. The role is Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week and the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Responsibilities
Manage office systems, data entry and document control.
Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit.
Assist Managers with recruitment, administration and onboarding.
Maintain employee records and ensure GDPR compliance.
Process invoices, purchase orders, remittances and expense claims.
Liaise with suppliers regarding payment schedules and queries.
Support payroll preparation.
Customer Services
Respond promptly to internal and external queries.
Support team members with systems and policy application
Experience
Proven office experience or administrative background is essential.
Experience in HR processes
Basic financial knowledge
Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office and business systems
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Accuracy for data entry tasks and attention to detail.
Demonstrated professional communication skills.
